How to Open an Account with Wix.com

Before we walk through opening an account with Wix.com, we need to cover some important information. To test and familiarize yourself with the Wix ecosystem, you’ll need to create two different websites — the sandbox site and the live site.

The Sandbox Site

This is the site you will use to familiarize yourself with Wix and any testing you need to carry out. Feel free to explore and get a feeling of what your provider customers have access to.

The Live Site

For QA purposes, we need the live site to be free of any previous transactions. This will make the QA checklist easier to read.
Note: You can create the first site and then duplicate it.

Opening Your Account

  1. Visit the Wix.com sign up page
  2. Choose a relevant category. We suggest selecting “Online Store” as it displays templates with a pre-built online store, and the process of adding products is considerably faster.
  3. Save and publish your site. 
Note: If you already have a DevCenter account
You can visit Wix.com from another tab and your DevCenter email will be recognize for a new Wix.com account.
